Adware is any software application in which advertising is displayed while the program is running. The authors of these applications include additional code that delivers the ads, which can be viewed through pop-up windows or through a bar that appears on a computer screen and sometimes through text links or in integrated search results. Adware may or may not track personal information. It may also gather information anonymously or in aggregate only. Users should check the EULA and Privacy policy to ensure if the adware on their machines conforms to their standards.

Before you can delete the program files you must deregister the Gratisware BHO. Open a DOS command prompt window (Start->Programs->Accessories) and enter (for Windows 95, 98 or Me):

"%WinDir%\SYSTEM\regsvr32.exe" /u "%WinDir%\SYSTEM\CRS32.dll"
Or for Windows NT/2000/XP:

regsvr32 /u "%WinDir%\System32\CRS32.dll"
Restart the computer and you should be able to delete the files 'CRS32.DLL', 'CRS.EXE', 'CRS32.REG' and either 'CRS.OLD' or 'NEXT.DL_' for your Windows System folder, and the Gratisware folder inside Program Files. You can also remove the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Gratisware if you like
