• Open this page
• Keep it open in your browser for at least 20 seconds
• If you suddenly get an error in "kernel32.dll", you have Spector running.

The current version of Spector has special routines in it that attack any window that has "X-Cleaner -" in its title and generates an error, making it seem that X-Cleaner is at fault. If you look closely, you will see that the error box is slightly different from "real" Windows' errors.

• When you see the Error Box, keep it open. Don't click it!
• Open X-Cleaner Deluxe
• Start a cleaning immediately.
• When X-Cleaner asks you to reboot, click the Error box.
• Then click "Yes" on the reboot question.
• After rebooting, try this procedure again to make sure it worked.
